ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Victoria, the owner of this site. I recently turned 15 and I decided to create this website on 6/29/2024 to not only improve my coding skills (I want to be a web developer someday), but also have fun as I learn. And lastly, of course, share the wonders of 1st gen kpop, which I'm pretty much addicted to lol. I mean, if I don't see much of anyone else making 1st gen sites out here, then I might as well do it myself... xD

My favorite artists of all time include NRG, H.O.T, Sechskies, Turbo, Seo Jiwon, Yoo Seungjun, Baby VOX, etc. There's a lot of artists I like...if I listed them all it'd be way too long! Anywho, I hope you enjoy the content I've collected! :) As time goes on, new features/things might be added so watch out for those.

FACTS ABOUT ME

My favorite things to do include browsing on the internet, coding, playing video games, DS games (on an emulator using ROM files), listening to music, drawing (every now and then), and finding + translating magazines of my favorite 1st gen kpop artists.
I'm Vietnamese-American...but I can't speak it very well lol. I knew it as a kid but slowly forgot it as I got older and surrounded more by English. I know just enough to survive my relatives though!
I have a TikTok account called @G1/90skpoptb, where I post various 1st gen kpop content.
I started to take interest in coding in 2023, and figured it out through Google and YouTube, but mostly Google.
I am learning the languages HTML, CSS, Python, and eventually plan to get to Javascript at some point.
The first 1st gen kpop song I ever listened to was H.O.T's "Candy", but the first artist I ever became a fan of was NRG! (Funny enough, a person in the comment section of the lyric video I discovered "Candy" mentioned NRG as a group that H.O.T considered their rivals first, which is how I found them)
My favorite music to listen to is 1st gen kpop, jpop, 90s songs in general, ballads, and rock.
My favorite foods include spaghetti, mac and cheese, pizza, ramen, sardines w/ rice, and mapo tofu w/ rice.
I'm a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! both the anime and the game (I actually enjoy the anime more than the modern game nowadays). My favorite series is either GX or...the iconic Season 0!
I am NOT a fan of reading, although sometimes I am quite interested by certain books, specifically adventure/action ones that get straight to the point and show me rather than tell me what's going on.
My favorite video game theme is Dire Dire Docks from Super Mario 64.
I prefer 90s web design to modern web design (I know it's technically less refined, but I just think the style is way more charming and vibrant than that of present sites).
I get tired VERY easily + I'm an introvert. Social battery? Gone. Physical battery? Also gone. That's how it is a lot of the time. In addition, I despise going out for this reason. Too much energy!
